Were here
Well we got of the plane yesterday to snow with another 20-25 cm predicted for today ow ell welcome to Canada lol .
So last night I had to walk to the mall to get some credit put on the cell it was only a 15 min walk each way and when I got back through the snow which was blowing side ways I looked like a yeti much to the amusement of Tina and Kane.
This morning I had to brave the snow once more to go to the customs office to get our container clear which was a lot easyer than I thought it would be and only it only took about 10 min so we are just waiting now for a delivery date the rest of the stuff it being delivered over the weekend.

Airport........
Well we are all packed up and waiting for the bus from the hotel to the terminal... we did not manage to get much sleep due to the air con system not working so we are a little worse for wear this morning so we hope we manage to sleep well on the plane.. Kane is very excited however and I wonder how kids can be so active after no sleep!
.. we plan to stay the night in Calgary so we can sign the customs documents tomorrow for our shipment, ready for delivery next week, so the next post i write will be when we are in the hotel in Calgary or Lethbridge.. Take care guys.
Goodbye England, and Hello Canada.....

Farewell......
On Saturday we decided to have a party to get all family & friends together to say a farewell in one swoop! Tina had family come from Birmingham and Darlington which was great to see them make the effort for us. As you can imagine there were alot of laughter and tears throughout the night. We wish to thank everyone who came and made it such a wonderful time. Love to you all.
Group photo at the beginning of the night.
Tina with her sisters Louise & Helen and brother Mark.
Me with my sister Marie & brother in law Jon and my Mum & Dad
A lovely group photo come the end of the night, little worse for ware.
Tina also had to say farewell to her beloved car!! A guy rang us on Saturday night to view it. Straightway he said yep I'll take it! He left a deposit and was back the next day by 9.30 with cash for the asking price. We were over the moon but Tina was sad to see her Alfa go as she did love it. Still she is now having fun catching buses to school instead!

17 days to go............
Tina finally managed to do a boot-fair yesterday after the wash out of last week. She was not amused last week when she got up at 6am and arrived at the site to find it closed!... still this week was OK and up at 5am to get there for 6am! Rather her then me i thought. I was on Kane watch instead!
She did really well and made over £200, which for some bits and bobs we had was a good mornings work. We still have a few small items so she is thinking about doing another one next weekend. Come 4pm she was asleep on the sofa cuddled up to a snoring Kane!
Well I say she might do another on Sunday but that will depend on the hangover she may have Sunday morning after the party.
We decided to host a farewell party and get everyone under one roof to have a few drinks etc and say our goodbyes.. it is going to be very hard for Tina to hold back her tears and suspect by the end of the night she and her sisters will look like 3 panda's..
Time is ticking away very fast now, Kane asks every day 'how many days til we are in Canada' so he is as eager as we are now. I am counting the days down to my last day at work which is next Friday. There is not much more to do, Tina has pretty much informed everyone who needs to know i.e utility companies, banks etc... all we now have to do is decide who to use for the currency exchange.

This week...
We have received all the documents from VRV this week by FedEx. Now we are all ready for when we arrive on the 28th. The package also included the driver handbooks Chris will need to study before he starts his course. While i giggled at him having to read them both he soon reminded me that i too would have to brush up on my driving knowledge as i would also have to take the touch-screen test for my license! You can guess right who was giggling now!!
I have been tracking the exchange rates for a few months now and I am glad to say it is not declining any more at the moment, The pound has (if not very slowly) been fighting back.. this means we can start to see a little more return once we start transferring in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed this won't change to much for us.
I have today packed up the car ready for a boot-fair tomorrow. I have been very successful in selling alot of electrical goods over the past 2 weeks just by using facebook so decided that it may be an idea to take other bit and bobs to a boot-fair and see how i get on. So I will be up at 6am to get myself there nice and early.. lets hope the light rain showers stay just that!
